King Arthur's Great Halls

With Tintagel's castle and other local features building on the Arthurian legend, King Arthur's Great Halls has enjoyed great popularity as an attraction since it was built by a Millionaire Philanthropist in 1933. It features 72 stained glass windows depicting the Arthurian legend and these were designed by a pupil of William Morris the celebrated designer and craftsman. In an age of the DaVinci Code and the Merlin TV programme, this is an attraction that should continue to be popular.
