Shipwreck and Heritage Centre

The Shipwreck and Heritage Centre is situated in Charleston near St Austell. It displays one of the largest private collections of shipwrecks and other nautical artifacts of Europe. The setting of Charleston is in a harbour that has changed little since being built by Charles Rashleigh, when it was used for exporting China Clay. With disused clay tunnels, sea rescue and diving equipment and lost treasures exhibitions, this is a great place to visit for anyone interested in the shipwrecks in an area famous for them.
