Railway Update

Well it may seem like a distant memory to some people but the impact of the winter storms earlier this year is still being felt in Cornwall and elsewhere. In this context it is such good news that the railway line at Dawlish in Devon has been repaired and reopened. The railway is a vital service for Cornwall, not just for tourism but for other aspects of business and social life. A lot of the time most people do not praise Network Rail or First Great Western for their service, but overall they do a good job and in repairing this damage they have done exceptionally well.
Lets hope that similar efforts are helping to repair the other damage of the storms. Cornwall remained open for business in spite of the storms and now the railway is open it is full steam ahead and we now look forward to a busy Easter for holiday breaks.
