From your doorstep there are a host of walks that lead you through the Tamar Valley with its World Heritage status and the rugged Dartmoor National Park. Cotehele National Trust property is less than a mile away. The historic town of Tavistock with its pannier market isn t far away and offers a wealth of restaurants pubs shops as well as cinema and swimming pool. On entering this spacious single-storey property which is located next to the Owners Georgian Country Home you will be greeted with the beautiful wooden panelling and exposed beams and will find yourself in the inviting lounge/kitchen/dining area. You can relax in the cosy and welcoming lounge with a 43 Smart TV/DVD and snuggle up in front of the charming traditional wood burner. The dining area is pleasantly situated by the double French doors which lead out onto the patio. Moving across to the kitchen you will find everything you will need including an electric oven and hob dishwasher microwave fridge freezer and washing machine. Just off the lounge/kitchen/diner you will find the comfy double bedroom complete with TV and en-suite shower room with WC. Stepping outside from the living area you can relax and unwind in the delightful enclosed garden with patio area garden furniture and BBQ. Find your inner Italian flare and try a pizza in the wood fired pizza oven. You will also have access to the large shared exercise paddock for pets and even a hot and cold outdoor shower for dogs. This beautiful property is perfectly positioned for touring the whole of Devon and Cornwall. Plymouth is within easy reach with its historic Barbican National Marine Aquarium thriving shopping centre and huge variety of amenities. Exeter the regional capital is less than an hour s drive while the beautiful town of Tavistock is within a half hour s drive. The north and south coasts are easily accessible with the pretty fishing towns of Polperro and Looe within an easy drive. On entering this delightful property you will find yourself in the beautiful and welcoming lounge/kitchen/dining area. The snug but spacious lounge is a delightful area with exposed beams and a great place to unwind by watching the TV/DVD or just snuggling in front of the traditional wood burner. The bright and stylishly designed kitchen has everything you might need including a gas oven and hob microwave fridge dishwasher and washing machine. Here you will also find the dining area ideal whether you re preparing a big meal grabbing a quick snack or enjoying the Cornish cream tea offered on arrival. The property is approached via a long private driveway and is perfect for those requiring peace and tranquillity. There are no street lights so you can watch the stars. The only sounds are countryside sounds as you watch another lovely sunset from the raised balcony. Wildlife is encouraged and you can see and listen for foxes buzzards owls and deer. There are some wonderful walks direct from the property and surrounding areas perfect for taking dogs. You will be ideally placed for touring both Cornwall and Devon with a host of attractions to suit all tastes which include Bodmin Moor The Eden Project Plymouth with its National Marine Aquarium and The Barbican St Mellion Launceston and Trethorne Golf Courses and several National Trust properties. If industrial heritage is of interest Dingles Steam Village Launceston Steam Railway and the Finch Foundry provide some interesting days out during your cottage holiday. Laid out over a single storey the accommodation has been decorated and furnished to a high standard and contains a double bedroom shower room with WC and open plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Many original features of the barn such as the wooden ceiling beams can still be seen throughout. The double bedroom is cosy and inviting and also features a Smart TV . Most of your time indoors will be spent within the open-plan living space which is perfect for having a night in. A Smart TV with Netflix provide the entertainment in the lounge with the multi-fuel burner helping to make those cold nights warmer. Coal and logs are included so that you can really make the most of the fuel burner during your stay. For some spectacular views step out from the lounge through the patio doors to a raised balcony with seating the perfect spot to watch the sun go down. In the kitchen you will find everything you need to prepare some simple meals an oven hob fridge and microwave while there is also a utility shed with a fridge/freezer and a washing machine. Please note that while babes in arms are welcome we regret that the property is unsuitable for older children. There is space for a travel cot in the main living area outside the bedroom door. Outside of the property there is an enclosed garden where any dogs you bring along can roam freely. There is a 2 acre paddock available to the front of the property; a perfect place to exercise your dogs however please note this is not enclosed.
