  • "The Property met our expectations."

The village is truly beautiful. We enjoyed the village shop and meals out were a blessing after our busy days. Our dog quickly settled in front of the log burner as we recovered in the evening. The facilities in the property were first class and made for an enjoyable holiday. The distance through the village to the beach was misleading and disappointing as with a health condition that prevents my wife walking up steep inclines the main access was not an option. Luckily we explored an access point elsewhere in the village and were able to enjoy the beautiful bay.

  • "What an excellent property, the perfect base for exploring Northumberland."

The cottage is comfortable , clean and well equipped and the garden is wonderful for relaxing in after a hard day's exploring. The village itself is a lovely little village with a local shop which is open 7 days a week and 2 excellent pubs, and just a short walk down the hill to the beach, which is absolutely beautiful. A stunning place to stay.

  • "This property may look a little dreary from the outside, but it is a really pleasant, comfortable and attractively furnished bungalow."

The back enclosed garden is a very welcome addition. My only criticism is that it is a little misleading to describe it as two-bedroomed accommodation when really it can only accommodate two adults and up to four children - the bunkbeds only take young ones up to age of 17. I feel that should be made clearer. We already knew this actually as we have stayed there before so we knew that inviting our adult son to use it as a base for walking some of the St. Oswald way was not an option. All that said, we had a truly lovely week. Northumberland rarely disappoints.

Thank you for your feedback and taking the time to comment. We are really pleased that you enjoyed the cottage and the garden. I`m sorry that you feel the listing is misleading. The bunk beds have full sized single mattress and are suitable for adults if they wish to use them. The top bunks are listed on the website as use for children only as we do not feel it is appropriate for adults to have to climb the ladders. I will request that this is made clearer on the website. • "We have been to this cottage many times and absolutely love it."

It is so comfortable and clean. We loved the new conservatory. Definitely be back again.

  • "We were very impressed with the property."

The level of cleanliness was exemplary, and the property lacked for no facilities. The conservatory was particularly welcome - we could enjoy the good weather without getting cold! The only slight downside was the drive. The description advises of the steepness, , but the loose gravel surface proved less than ideal - our rear wheel drive car could not negotiate the drive going forwards, and reversing on required a run at it, involving bouncing over the kerb at the entrance. A hard surface would perhaps work better. Having said that, parking on the street proved no problem, and certainly would not stop us booking this property again.
