Port Isaac

Port Isaac view

Cornwall is a place of contrasts, of peoples survival / industry and natural beauty and often the two combined and Port Isaac is one of those places.

Situated on the North Coast Port Isaac is a fishing village with a steep incline. If you drive into it, you might have to park on the beach in the harbour, so watch out for the tide!

Seriously Port Isaac is a place that has not changed its character and is now a conservation area. The narrow winding streets are filled with very old cottages, with leaning walls. The unspoilt charming village dates back to 1340 and in recent years has been used for film and TV locations including Doc Martin featuring Martin Clunes.

Polzeath beach one of the best in Cornwall is only a few miles away.
